WHY AN HPI™ Utility Deck
The base long bed Utility Deck delivers over 2.5 X more cubic feet of secure storage compared to a standard 8’ service body’s compartment boxes, and you still have a deck for additional materials, tools and equipment.

Four turnbuckles secure the Utility Deck to your bed and the entire install can be done with one person, a forklift and less than a couple hours of time. No modification to your truck necessary; not even a hole needs to be drilled. No complex invasive installs that require running new fuel lines, rewiring taillights, and relocating cameras or sensors. You can even keep your BLIS System.

Organization directly impacts productivity and the bottom line, so customize the Utility Deck and make it perfect for you. Add overhead storage or under deck storage. Customize the boxes and even enclose the entire Utility Deck for max secure storage.

Work with a custom product specialist and an engineer dedicated to your project to come up with a design that is perfect for you.

The Utility Deck comes standard with a white powder coat for long-lasting durability and corrosion protection. Customize the appearance of your Utility Deck by choosing from a variety of finishes and custom powder coats.
Audited by an independent Professional Structural Engineer, the Utility Deck has been scrutinized to meet Highway Products’ highest level of standards for safety and quality. The certification ensures a 2,000 lb load rating in addition to the weight of the Utility Deck. That rating was based on the weaker aluminum beds on the market today and determined that the beds themselves won’t buckle. Additionally, tested at full load at a 1G sideways acceleration, the pickup bed with the Utility Deck will continue to perform without failure. Finally, the Structural Engineer analyzed forward crash tests consistent with Ford’s filing with the NHSTA, and confirmed the attachment points with the installation kit for the Utility Deck are sufficient.
